We promote the values of justice, human dignity and non-discrimination. Our aim is to strengthen responsibility, legal awareness and a dialogue of partners.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>We wish that people in our society:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>fully respect human and civil rights of individuals as well as minority groups<\/li>\n<li>demand that public authorities are held responsible for the full realisation of the rights that belong to of all of us<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Promoting non-discrimination for more than 20 years<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>we propose procedures to ensure compliance with the equal treatment principle in practice<\/li>\n<li>we cooperate in policy making and setting the processes related to the fulfilment of the equality principle<\/li>\n<li>we monitor their implementation and compliance<\/li>\n<li>we educate, coach and consult<\/li>\n<li>we train how to communicate the equal treatment principle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Towards equal treatment <strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Our activities primarily focus on: the enforcement of a right to <strong>human dignity for all<\/strong>, <strong>protection against discrimination<\/strong>, and <strong>women\u2019s human rights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We believe that <strong>good solutions<\/strong> to public affairs can only be achieved in a <strong>democratic discussion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our ideas are backed by <strong>concrete activities<\/strong>: <strong>defending public interests<\/strong> (advocacy activities), e.g. through <strong>participation<\/strong> in a legislative and public policy-making process, public policy <strong>monitoring<\/strong>, strategic <strong>litigation<\/strong>, or <strong>campaigning<\/strong> targeted at specific issues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Our core activities involve training: the provision of <strong>information<\/strong> and continuous <strong>communication<\/strong> both with professionals and the general public. We organise <strong>training courses<\/strong>, seminars, lectures,<strong> workshops<\/strong>, <strong>conferences<\/strong> and <strong>discussion forums<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we provide <strong>consultancy services<\/strong>, conduct <strong>research<\/strong> and prepare <strong>analyses<\/strong>, publish monographs, educational CDs, methodology guidelines, and other <strong>training<\/strong> and <strong>information materials<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Our objectives<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>to promote fair conditions for the exercise of rights and responsibility for all<\/li>\n<li>to strengthen the responsibility of individuals \u2013 for themselves, their communities and the entire society<\/li>\n<li>to develop civic skills and legal awareness of individuals<\/li>\n<li>to encourage individuals to bear their share of responsibility for the supervision of public authorities and active participation in their decision-making<\/li>\n<li>to participate in creating room for a dialogue between civil society and public authorities in order to ensure the balance of powers<\/li>\n<li>to enhance accountability of public authorities towards the public and individuals for good governance in the country and for compliance with, and active enforcement of, human rights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our mission &nbsp; Accountability of public authorities: Human rights to the people The Citizen, Democracy and Accountability is a human rights non-governmental organisation with more than twenty years of practical experience.
